Gateways to the Future: Ways Forward for Rural Business Support - Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire
Sir Don Curry says of this event:
"Encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship on farms is vital if we are to move forward as an industry and demonstrate that farmers are no longer relying on subsidy, but are taking control of their own destiny. Many very exciting initiatives have been successfully established by enterprising farmers over the last few years and we can learn from these examples and build on their experience. That is why this conference is so important. We must work together to encourage the innovation and sound business thinking which are needed for agriculture to thrive, and this conference aims to do just that.
Sir Don Curry, Chairman, Sustainable Farming and Food Strategy Delivery Group.

Low-Zero Carbon Heating - Ibis Earls Court, London
Delivering integrated solutions to achieve compliance
Climate change is an unavoidable reality and is now the central issue facing the global community. With the built environment producing a significant proportion of the UK’s carbon emissions and heating accounting for the bulk of a building’s energy consumption, the HVAC industry must take an active role if we are to meet our emissions targets.

REA's Philip Wolfe will explore the implications of these developments and the hitherto neglected areas where renewables can now start to make additional contributions
Renewable energy: Yesterday’s alternative – Tomorrow’s mainstream - Events Theatre, The Keyworth Centre, Keyworth Street, , London South Bank University
After decades on the fringe of the energy portfolio, renewables are now enjoying explosive growth and starting to make a significant contribution in many parts of the world.
The new European Union targets of achieving 20% of overall energy (not just electricity) by 2020 will accelerate this expansion further. On present UK energy trends, this would place renewables alongside oil and second only to gas in the energy mix, leaving both coal and nuclear energy behind.
